Obituary of Korngut, Rose H.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2011. She was born Rose Fisher on April 30, 1922, in Brooklyn, NY. She met her beloved Larry on a blind date and later mar- ried him on June 29, 1948. They celebrated their 60th wedding anni- versary prior to his death in August of 2008. After raising their family on Long Island she retired with Lar- ry to Florida where they spent al- most two decades. In her later years she moved with him to Dallas to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ethel Fisher, her brother Morton Fisher, niece Toby Allaway and her dear husband Larry. She is survived by her son Irwin and wife Debra; her daughter Lisa Dorfman and husband Marc; grandsons Kevin, Bryan and Alex Korngut; sister, Sheila Lovit and husband David, nieces and nephews Carol Levison, Andy, Stacy and Glenn Lovit with their respective spouses and chil- dren, great nephew Scott Allaway and wife Jessica, as well as numer- ous cousins. She was devoted to and lived for her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A graveside ceremony will be held at Temple Emanu-el Ceme- tery on February 8th at 4:00 pm.
