Obituary of LeCour, AnnaBelle L.

Was born in Houston , Texas on June 22, 1948 and died suddenly in Dallas , Texas on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. AnnaBelle was the only daughter of five children born to Joseph Lanard LeCour and Louise Teresa Schliepake LeCour. AnnaBelle's maternal grandparents were Wilhelm George Schliepake and Anna Marie Muenster Schliepake who, with their children, owned and operated the Blue Front Restaurant in downtown Dallas since 1929. AnnaBelle grew up in the Garden Oaks area of Houston where she attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School . The family moved to Dallas in 1965 where AnnaBelle attended Woodrow Wilson High School from where she graduated in 1967. At Woodrow she was extremely involved in the theatrical and choral departments where she won state in a capella solo. As a young woman, AnnaBelle sang professionally for both the Houston and Dallas Civic Operas. AnnaBelle was a true entrepreneur as she owned and operated many businesses, but her true love was cooking for family and friends. Some of her best work was highlighted when she and brother, James, operated LeCour's Blue Front in Lakewood from 1991-1994. After the restaurant closed, AnnaBelle became a real estate agent where she was associated with Coldwell Banker Lakewood-Whiteside Team, but for the last 3 years she was affiliated with and flourished at the Ebby Halliday-Northeast Dallas office. AnnaBelle went out on the top of her game as she was named top producer for the month of February where her reserved parking space reflecting this honor will remain for the month of March in remembrance of her bravado and never-say-die spirit. Survivors include her brothers, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces James and Karen LeCour and sons Logan and Hayden of Farmers Branch, TX; Frank and Sharon LeCour of Plano, TX; Melinda LeCour and daughter Summer of Dallas, TX; David and Renee LeCour and daughter Melissa, and son Cary and wife Marissa of Rockwall, TX; her beloved "girls," Cheetah and Grace, numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Louise LeCour, and older brother, William George (Bill) LeCour. A rosary will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 6:00 pm at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane , Farmers Branch , TX . Honorary Pallbearers are cousins Jerry Garretson, James Garretson, Bob Hackley, Larry Hufford, John LaCoke, Frank LaCoke, John LeCour, Jay McClure, Tony Sigler and Stephen Stern. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Animal Allies of Texas, P.O. Box 496385 , Garland, TX 75049-6385 in AnnaBelle's memory.
