Marshall, Veda E.
Our most beautiful mother, grandmother, sister and friend was born April 21, 1913 in Wilson County, Kansas to George and Alice Butler and passed away on May 22, 2009. On April 30, 1934 she married Ray W. Marshall and together they had four children, Judie, Jackie, Larry and June. She is survived by her brother, Milton Butler; sister, Viola Dietzman; son, Jackie Marshall; daughter, June Johnston; daughters-in-law, Ginny and Rhonda Marshall; grandchildren are Michael, Diane and David Denison, Tina May, Cari Marshall, Gretchen Childress and Chelsea Marshall, and step-grandchildren, Sherri Barry and Todd Ellis; great-grandchildren are Emma and Wyatt Childress and Trent and Trevor Denison, with two more due this year; step great-grandchildren are Jordan Barry and Sam Lee. She loved them all so much. Vada moved to Dallas from Minneapolis in 1963, when her husband was transferred with Braniff Airlines. Vada was quite active in Garden Club, Vintage Glass Club and Braniff Retirement Club. She was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church and cherished the time she spent with her friends in the Grace Circle at the church. Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the North Dallas Funeral Home with interment in Fredonia City Cemetery, Kansas along side her loving and adoring husband, Ray W. Marshall.
