I was a nurse learning to work in Surgery at St. Paul in 1988 when I met Dr. Mathews. He was a great teacher and wonderful surgeon. He taught me so much & has had such an impact on my surgical nursing career. I am so sorry for your loss. I will choose to remember Dr. Mathews resting peacefully painting in Colorado. May GOD bring you peace, comfort and strength during this difficult time.
