Obituary of Nelsen, Craig J.

Craig Jeffrey Nelsen, 56, of Carrollton, Texas, died on October 12, 2011 at his residence. Craig was a devoted father and grandfather, and his favorite times were those spent with his family. He loved to hunt, play golf, and watch Nebraska football. Born on July 28, 1955 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Edwin L. and Gloria Jean (Magnuson) Nelsen, Craig attended Norfolk Public Schools and graduated in 1973. While in Norfolk, he was employed at Affiliated Foods, Norfolk Dodge, and Larson Florine. In recent years, he had been working in the Dallas area as a business development analyst, most recently for Management Development, Ltd. and the Highland Group. Craig is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shanna and Shawn Roberson and his grandson, Trey Samuel Roberson of San Jose, CA, and granddaughters Jazzmin, Shyla and Awnzsa Roberson of Las Vegas, NV, sisters and husbands Susan and Dennis Brodersen of Coleridge, NE, Claudia and Robert McElwee of Carrollton,TX, and Stephanie and Kevin Shepherd of Erie, CO, brothers and wives Scott and Jane Nelsen of Avondale, AZ and Clark and Ronda Nelsen of Norfolk, NE, a niece and eight nephews.
