Obituary of
Nollen, Timothy "Tim" J.
Tim Nollen, age 61, of Plano, Texas passed away on Tuesday evening, July 19, 2011 in his
home after 3 years of fighting lung cancer. He was born Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, 1949 in Burlington, Iowa to Verner John and Roberta Ann Nollen. Predeceased by his mother and infant sister Christina Nollen. Tim once played a Little League game in which he pitched 14 innings in a classic pitchers duel. This game ended up being
rumored as to having an impact on
the number of innings a pitcher
could pitch in Little League. Tim
was also named "Athlete Of The
Year" at Notre Dame High School
in Burlington in 1968 having excelled at basketball and baseball. He loved the game of golf and baseball and enjoyed reading and traveling. Favorite trips included Hawaii and Alaska. Past employments included the State of Iowa, Pan Am Airlines,
Rockwell International, Alcatel-
Lucent, and Goodman Networks. A
devoted husband and father, Tim is
survived by his wife and best friend, Judy and 3 sons, Ryan, Jeff and Barry Nollen. He is also survived by father, Verner John Nollen and wife June, of Burlington, Iowa; siblings,
Terry Nollen and wife Diana of
Lincoln, Nebraska, Cindy Stewart and husband Dennis of Burlington, Iowa, John Nollen of Kansas City, Missouri, Ron Nollen and wife Carleen of Burlington, Iowa, Lisa Nollen and husband Mark Falkum of Chanhassen, Minnesota; numerous brother & sister-in-laws; nieces and nephews. In order to allow time for friends and family to gather from out of town, services will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic
Church in Plano, Texas. The family
wishes to thank the outstanding
doctors, nurses and clerical staff for their friendship and compassion during Tim
