Obituary of Petrick, Robert R.

Robert R. (Bob) Petrick, 89, of Arlington, passed away on March 4, 2013. Mr. Petrick was born in Chicago on December 24, 1923, the son of Edward L. and Anna Soukup Petrick. He grew up in Cicero, Illinois and moved to Maryland as a teenager, graduating from Aberdeen High School. After serving in World War II he lived in Maryland and Maine before retiring in Texas. He was a US Naval Aviator, piloting an F6F Hellcat fighter plane while assigned to the Pacific Fleet on the carrier USS Belleau Wood (CVL-24). As a member of Fighter Sqaudron 31, nicknamed
