Obituary of
Rodriguez, Clara J.
Benbrook - Clara
Rodriguez, 67, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008, in her home surrounded by
her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Service: Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 400 Davidson,
Benbrook on Wednesday morning at 10am.
Burial to follow mass at Benbrook Cemetery, 825 Mercedes
Visitation: 6pm on Tuesday at the church with a Rosary
to follow at 7pm.
Clara was born August 26, 1940 in Madrid, Spain. She met her husband, Angel Rodriguez,
while he was stationed in Spain serving with the US Air Force. They married on June 30th, 1964
in Gibraltar, England and returned to the United States where Angel was
stationed in Marquette, Michigan.
After time spent in Michigan, Spain, Texas and Italy Clara
spent the last 34 years of her life in Benbrook, Texas. Clara will be remembered for the love of
her family and the unconditional acceptance and love of all those in her
surroundings. She was always eager to
selflessly respond to those in need.
The family would like to express a special thank you to
VITAS Hospice Care for their extraordinary care and compassion shown to Clara
and her family during her final days.
A special thank you to Laura Villareal who was especially close to the
family.
Memorials: In lieu
of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to VITAS
Hospice Care, Ft Worth in memory of Clara
Survivors: Husband, Angel Rodriguez; Daughter,
Maria Rodriguez, Round Rock; and many other loving family and friends.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents Lola and Enrique Rodriguez.
