Obituary of Romans, Leonard S.

Leonard Sterling Romans born September 19, 1930 in Cumby, TX to Callie Dona Akins and Tom Penn Romans passed away Feb. 17, 2011 in Dallas, TX. He worked for Red Ball Motor Freight from 1951-1982 and Consolidated Freightways from 1982 to 1993. He married Ruby Jean Lunsford July 26, 1950 and she survives along with two children Rose Ann Cantrell (Reese) of Tyler, Tommy Joey Romans (Kelly) of Coppell, grandchildren Ashleigh Blackwell (Michael) of San Diego, CA, Garrett Cantrell (Jessica) of Tyler, Tanner Romans of Coppell, and great-granddaughter Breanne Cantrell of Irvine, CA. Visitation is 2:00pm Saturday at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Cumby, TX with a short service at First Baptist Church, 107 W. Main St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Heart Association, The Scottish Rite Hospital, or The Association for Prevention to Cruelty to Animals.
