Scott, Lena M.


Lena Marie Kriegisch Scott passed away on 20 September 2012. She was born the daughter of Austrian Immigrant parents, John Rudolph Kriegisch and Anna Marie Nitsche, on 07 December 1922 in Johnsonburg, PA.

Lena is survived by son, John H. Scott III; daughter, Mary Ann Scott; and family friend, Larry R. LaLonde all of Farmers Branch, TX. She is also survived by a sister, Gertrude Tarkowski of Erie, PA and sister-in-law, Theresa Kriegisch of Johnsonburg, PA. There are several nieces and nephews who survive as well. Lena was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Scott, Jr. in 1995, and by her brother, John R. Kriegisch of Johnsonburg, PA in 1967.

Lena was a member of Mary Immaculate Parish in Farmers Branch for 46 years. Prior to moving to Farmers Branch, she had lived in Johnsonburg, PA and Memphis, TN. Lena had been a Payroll Accountant, a housewife, and Cafeteria Hostess at various times in her life. She enjoyed watching TV, doing crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, and other activities.

Rosary and Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2012, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the visitation following until 8:00 p.m. in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.

Funeral Mass will be Monday, September 24, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 with entombment following at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Father Bruce Bradley will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations in Lena’s memory may be made to the building fund at Mary Immaculate.

You were a great and wonderful Mother. You will be solely missed by many in life. I know you are having a great time reunited with Dad and other family in Heaven. I thank God you had a very peaceful death. I will remember the time I spent with you near the end forever. I will see you all soon!
