I am the daughter of Samuel Sheber, and step daughter of Doris. Glen Schachar of Sherman, Tx. would remember me. I just found out about Doris’s death. I and my brothers would very much like the pictures I gave to Doris, which she would not return to me when I was there for Dad’s funeral. I never made copies of the films. It seems your Mom had a wonderful life after Dad’s death and good for her. It would have been nice to have been advised of her death. Please write me. My Dad is buried with Doris. many thanks. iris r. sheber, Brooklyn, N. Y.

    Dear Schachar Family,

It is always hard to experience a loved one passing, and yet Doris was and is certainly loved by you all. In this way, I am certain that she left this earth carrying your love with her.

I am so grateful for the life she shared for 20 years with my father Charles Wolf. They shared so much together, dancing, travel, singing and always had fun. Even though they never married, they were indeed husband and wife. It was an inspiration to see how, even in later years, love was still possible.

Doris was full of life, and after the death of my mother, she infused my father with her joie de vivre. They had a good life together.

A special thanks to Doris’ son Les Schachar, who lovingly saw to it that my father and his mother continued to see each other after they were separated due to her illness.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all as I know that Doris’ joy and fun-loving spirit will live in your memory forever.

    With heartfelt blessings,
