Obituary of Stormer, Shelley A.

Stormer, Shelley Ann (Marx) April 17, 1954 - Dec. 23, 2010 Age 56, of Richardson, Texas was called Home For Christmas by Our Lord, on December 23, 2010, while she was preparing her own home for another Christmas celebration for friends and family. Shelley suffered a sudden and apparent massive ruptured cranial aneurism at her North Dallas home, where she lived with her beloved poodle, Patches. She was at the foot of her beautiful Christmas tree. It is apparent that she was making preparations for Christmas. The tree was lit, music was playing, and she was wrapping and packing gifts for her loved ones, friends and family. She died instantly, doing what she most loved; that is, preparing her home for friends and family. She died, as she lived; thinking of others, with her friends and family at the forefront. Shelley was a people person. She loved people, and she would do most anything she could for her friends and for her family. She was caring and thoughtful of others. We will miss her greatly. Shelley was born April 17, 1954 in Dickinson, ND, to Bill Marx and Maggie Betchner, formerly of Gladstone, ND. She was the second of four children, and the only girl. She was Wayne's little red-haired sister, and throughout her life, big sister to her younger brothers, Alan and Randy. Shelley returned to Dallas in 2005 to be closer to her brothers, Alan and Randy, and her nephews, Ryan and Will, and her niece, Emma. She very much enjoyed the extra time that God provided to be with her family and friends here in Dallas. She frequently hosted get togethers at her home, for pool parties and barbeques with the kids, and for other special occasions when visited by her friends and family. In Dallas, Shelley served as a legal/ administrative assistant, property manager and executive assistant for a law firm, property management company and physicians' offices, respectively. She was very conscientious and much enjoyed the people she worked with during this period. She was much looking forward to the new opportunities being afforded her in the upcoming New Year. We will miss her greatly. Requiem aeternam dona eis; Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. (Lord, grant her eternal rest: and let perpetual light shine upon her.) A funeral and memorial service celebrating Shelley's gifts and resurrection will be held at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd., Dallas, TX 75238-2796 on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.. Following the service, a reception will be held at the adjacent Saint Patrick Parish Center. An online memorial has been set up at https://Shelley-Marx-Stormer.mem-ory-of.com where friends and family are invited to share photos, anecdotes and other remembrances celebrating Shelley's life.
